Level 1 Courses in Mathematics and Statistics Introduction The First Year Modules offered by the Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and the Statistics Divisions are designed not only to provide a comprehensive foundation for intending mathematicians, statisticians or computer scientists but also dovetail into the other modules offered by the Schools of Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Physics and Astronomy, while also providing subsidiary support for other disciplines such as Economics, Psychology, Logic and Philosophy.
