Jonathan Fraser




I am a Professor of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of St Andrews and Head of the Analysis Research Group. I am also the Outreach coordinator within the School of Mathematics and Statistics, and more information about outreach activities we offer can be found here. Before moving to St Andrews in August 2016, I was a Lecturer at the University of Manchester and, before that, an EPSRC funded Research Fellow at the University of Warwick.

My research is currently supported by a Leverhulme Trust Research Project Grant (RPG-2019-034) and an RSE Sabbatical Research Grant (70249). The Leverhulme project is entitled New perspectives in the dimension theory of fractals and will run until March 2023 and the RSE project is entitled Fractal dimension in nonlinear nonconformal settings and will run until January 2023.
